Welcome; Play Some Games!
It all started after 14-year-old Joel resumed doing CodaKid courses in June 2020, the uncle of Joel (Dan Tan, who is the younger sibling of Joel's mom) generously set up a webplace (which is the website you're on right now) for Joel's games to be uploaded so that it would make it easier for his children, Joel's cousins, to play Joel's games.
Joel had started doing CodaKid in the summer of 2018 starting with Minecraft moding courses, which need to be put on here. Dev.DanTan.net was launched in August 2020.
WHERE IS JOEL NOW?

- Let's Eat Fish
[ : 9 MB]
In June of 2020, Joel B. started to make his first game.
It was a game made in the Python coding language. It was because Joel
was doing the "Python 1" CodaKid course.
Joel titled the game "Let's Eat Fish," incorporating Water Bear,
a friend of Joel.
- Water Defense
[ : 3 MB]
This is Joel's second Python game. Joel created this one after
"Let's eat fish" was finished in June of 2020. This was also a
CodaKid course.
- Sprite
Arena [ : 23.6 MB]
Originally titled "SMACKajooo!", Python Sprite Arena is the
third and final Python game created by Joel B. in June 2020 as a CodaKid
course. However, it is Joel's first multiplayer game.

This was also created by Joel B. as a CodaKid course called "Gam e
Development with Unreal 1" (or something like that). Joel started this
game in June 2020.
The 2D character select had been completed on 1/10/2021, and the
2/14/2021 version of Platformer1 is now available for Windows, which has
the character select!
- CodaKart
[EXE : 131 MB / 45 MB zipped]
Created with a CodaKid course using the game engine Unity, this
version was completed on July 24, 2020. It still needs a lot of work in
terms of game design, but here is the rough CodaKart game (finally)!
- Through the Cave [
: 22 MB]
This infinite runner game was created in July 2020 as a CodaKid course called
"Game Development with JavaScript 1".
-
Help Water Bear Survive! [ : 9 MB]

Tower Defense: Will Mongoose Be Good? [ : 6 MB]
It all started when Joel B. created a new project with the
program CodaKidProjectManager, trying to get the program
Mongoose to work. He named the project "Tower Defense will
Mongoose be good". Since he never got to deleting it, his
sibling (Davey Barfoot) decided to keep the project as well as the
title and use it as the project to do the "Game Programming 2
with Javascript: Tower Defense" CodaKid course.
This game was released on August 7, 2020. The download version
contains information about the game and explains how to play it.
So, if you are wondering about the back story or really can't figure out
how to play, then download the game!
- Battlefront J
[WIN 64-BIT : 1.29 GB]
"Battlefront J" was started by Joel B. in July 2020 as
a CodaKid course and was released on December 20, 2020.

Kromey Dino Runner 3D [WIN 64-BIT : 146.4 MB]
After making a wrong turn at the local marathon, Kromey the dino
found himself in the desert. When he got back to town, the marathon
had ended without him. Sad for a few hours, Kromey then discovered
another marathon would be held the next day. Excited, the dino
didn't realize he was out of shape.
Will you help him practice for the marathon? Kromey needs your help!
You can help Kromey train for the marathon by telling him when
to jump and when to duck.
Oh, by the way, for some reason Kromey chose the desert to practice
in. Make sure that he avoids those prickly cactuses and the
Raptor brothers - they might try to sabatoge Kromey's training.
This game is a presentation/production of WaterBear Games. It
was first released on January 9, 2021.
- Coming Soon - Short samples of what Joel (or others) has been

Hopefully Joel will complete it soon.
